Stud Book Stallions, Mares and Geldings
An Applications for a horse to be registered in one of the above studbook categories will only be accepted if the animals breeding, colour and conformation meet the requirements of the Association to allow its inclusion into the stud book of the association. All animals to be registered in the above categories must be classified and physically sighted by official classifiers appointed by the association. However, classification by the use of photographs is permitted where necessary.

This requires the applications for registration to be accompanied by four (4) photographs of the horse. One each of the front, back, near side and off side. Theses photos should clearly show the brands, white markings and scars you have detailed on the form. If the horse is registered with another association, a copy of the registration certificate from that association must also accompany the application. Alternatively, a signed service certificate must be presented.

Registry Stallions, Mares and Geldings
An application for a horse to be registered in one of the above Registry categories, will be accepted by the association for inclusion in the association registry of palominos, provided that the application for registration is accompanied by four (4) photographs of the horse as for studbook registration.

Approved Sire Registrations
An Application for a horse to be registered as an Approved Sire with the Association will not be processed by the Association until the horse has been classified by Official Classifiers appointed by the Association as to their suitability in conformation and quality, and the horses breeding has been verified. If the horse is registered with another Association, a copy of the Registration Certificate(s) must also accompany any application for registration in the Associations Approved Sire Registry.

Brands & Microchipping
The association now accepts microchipping as identification as well as the traditional branding. Copies of the microchip certificate must be submitted with the application for registration of the horse. Please check with your other breed societies to ensure they also accept the same form of identification. All horses must be branded or microchipped prior to being accepted for registration.

Service Certificates
Service Certificates will only be valid if the stallion owner is financial at the time the mare is served.

Transfers & Leases
The original Certificate of Registration with the Association must accompany any Application for Transfer of a Palomino Horse, along with the relevant fee. The person(s) into whose name the transfer is to be recorded must be a financial member of the Association.
